Bristol Tennessee City Schools
includes just over 4,000 students
who attend Anderson, Avoca,
Fairmount, Haynesfield, and Holston View Elementary schools; Vance Middle School; and Tennessee High School. In addition, Tennessee Online Public School (TOPS) is Bristol’s public statewide online school serving students in grades 9-12.

Preparing All Students to Thrive

The Bristol Virginia Public Schools system consists of Virginia High, Virginia Middle, and Highland View, Van Pelt, Stonewall Jackson and Washington-Lee Elementary Schools. Class sizes average approximately 18 students at the elementary level, 15 at the middle school level, and 17 at the high school level.

Our Children, Our Future.

Two high schools, three middle schools, and 10 elementary schools serve the current student population of 8,500  students. In addition to serving K-12 students, Sullivan County Department of Education provides pre-kindergarten opportunities at seven elementary schools. Students with special needs receive pre-kindergarten experiences in four elementary schools. Special education services are provided to 1700 students from ages 3-21.
